WHY SCHOOLS CANT DELIVER…..

Schools are too schooled

and they have so many fooled

         for centuries no doubt

but its time now to shout…..

…..        maybe from roof tops if needed

as in the past….these cries have gone unheeded…..

Schools are to educate…..

     and help people create……

but what schools have been doing instead…..

not valuing the heart….merely worshipping the head  !!!

Schools have only been killing creativity

               ……what a pity……what a pity !!!!!!!

Amen. Read The Twilight’s Last Gleaming On Public Education for confirmation of the obstacles that currently litter the public education landscape. Not only is creativity restricted, but policically oriented school administrators all too frequently substitute political considerations for sound principles of education when implementing policies. Significant change is needed. Vouchers to parents given the freedom to choose which schools their children attend (private or public) would see student movement towards those institutions offering superior quality instuction. Competition among schools for students eagerly willing to participate in the learning process could prove beneficial. Those students less willing to actively participate could find fulfillment in less demanding, perhaps more vocationally oriented, schools. In each case, parents would be better positioned to make decisions regarding the education of their children in accordance with each child’s apptitude and interests. Fear of not being accepted at desired schools would stimulate greater student effort to make the grade each year.
